Priorities for Enrollment
School Building

More children may meet the eligibility requirements than can be served by the CUSD State Funded Preschool Program. The first priority for services shall be given to child protective services children. Families with the lowest adjusted monthly income shall be admitted first. After children in the first priority are served, priority will be given to eligible four year old children prior to serving eligible three year old children. Within these age groups the determination of who will be enrolled will follow the following order of priority:

  1. Children whose families have the lowest adjusted monthly income.
  2. Children who are identified as limited English or non-English proficient.
  3. Children with exceptional needs who's Individual Education Plan (IEP) identifies a State Preschool Program as being an appropriate placement during all or part of the preschool day.
  4. Children from families whose special circumstances may diminish the child's opportunity for normal growth and development.
