State Funded Full Day Programs

In order to be eligible for the full day program families must meet all of the above criteria and further establish need based on one of the following:

1. Child protective services documented by written referral from a legally qualified and licensed professional that the child is at risk of abuse or negligence and the child care and development services are needed to reduce or eliminate that risk; and the probable duration of the child protective services plan or the "at-risk" situation.

2. Parent or any other adult in the household are one or a combination of the following:

    a. Employed as verified by a statement of wages.

    b.Seeking employment, which is limited to 60 days.

    c. Participating in school or vocational training leading directly to a recognized trade, paraprofessional, or        profession. Documentation required includes class schedules and progress reports. Total enrolled hours plus study time (one hour per unit/hour) must be a minimum of 30 hours per week. Parent/guardian must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher or demonstrate progress in non-credit classes. Failure to maintain enrollment and GPA requirements will result in the family being placed on probationary status. Failure to maintain enrollment and GPA requirements during the probationary period will result in termination of services.

    d. Homeless and seeking permanent housing.

3. Incapacity, including a medical or psychiatric special need, to the extent that the parent's ability to provide care is significantly limited as verified by a legally qualified professional.
