Applications must be obtained at and submitted between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., in person, to one of the preschool sites or the Child Development Office in San Juan Capistrano on the following dates only. PLEASE NOTE-APPLICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE BEFORE THESE DATES AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE ONLINE:
- Monday, March 2
- Tuesday, March 3
- Wednesday, March 4
- Thursday, March 5
- Friday, March 6
Notification to applicants will begin Monday, April 13, 2009.
Children will be placed in preschool classes according to a system of priority and within class-size mandates.
After all children in category A below have been placed, requests for open enrollment placement will be honored according to the following priority criteria until all openings in a given school are filled:
- Returning preschool students who will continue to attend their current school.
- Returning preschool students wishing to change schools.
- Siblings of current preschool students with priority given by age.
- All other families requesting preschool placement.
Once a class has reached maximum enrollment, any remaining enrollment requests will be given placement on wait lists.
AFTER THE OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD, INTERESTED FAMILIES MUST CONTACT THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT OFFICE TO BE PLACED ON WAIT LISTS. 234-5341
