Pre Kindergarten Program

The Prekindergarten program is designed for children who will be kindergarten eligible the following school year or are currently kindergarten eligible and have elected to attend an additional year of preschool.

The class promotes a smooth transition into kindergarten by encouraging the children to gain skills necessary for success in kindergarten. This program has a higher concentration on academics than our traditional preschool programs. Academic activities include focus on letter recognition, letter sounds, sight words and handwriting, as well as incorporating math, science and art throughout the day. We also focus on kindergarten readiness by working with kindergarten teachers to prepare our students for what is going to be expected of them. The program runs five days a week, 3 1/2 hours per day, similar to the kindergarten schedule.
